Directors Statement

Karma Baby is a dramatic and vivid story about a woman and how temptation, rumors, lies and deceit have her caught up in a whirlwind of regret and consequence. It was a dramatic script that I wrote covering many real life issues that we have all faced in our lives in one way or another. Serious issues that all revolve around choices. Choices we make and are left to face with the consequences of our actions. Something I feel we can all relate to.

My motivation for writing this story was to take a good look at the truth and power of rumors and choice. Rumors that have to power to change one’s life forever. Along with making certain choices that leave others to perceive us in a way much to our distaste. These preconceived notions can put us in a place of misery and discrimination. The issue of the HIV virus plays a significant part in this story. AIDS is a very real and serious epidemic, especially when it comes to your own life. Everything would change if you were to find yourself infected with the virus. This dramatic story sheds some light on the topic. Just imagine the fear that sets in upon receiving such news. Karma Baby is very clever, multi-layered and delivers a revelation of a twist that ties it all together.

Along with my co-producers, and my very talented cast and crew, I feel the story has been given all that it deserves. Pre- production was an insane amount of work. We hit the pavement hard, and in the end it was well worth every second of it. I am very pleased with our cast. I really took the time to work very closely with the actors to get the truth this film deserves. We worked very hard to select the right people for this film. The crew was absolutely amazing, professional, and extremely dedicated. Making this film with everyone involved was a great experience.

While filming Karma Baby, everyone involved really came together and worked so passionately. We all really believed in this project and the story we set out to tell. I am certain that all the hard work and dedication we put in to this film will deliver us great success. The film really speaks for itself, and I hope you enjoy watching it as much as we did making it.

Directors Statement

Howard and Betty is the story following the life of a psychopathic killer and his loving wife. A dark journey into the mind of a sick and twisted serial killer, who knows no boundaries and has no remorse. As I wrote the script I put myself in this demented headspace. I became disturbed and consumed by darkness. I found myself fallen into depths I have never experienced before, and soon my own thoughts had begun to scare me. As I wrote, I began to question my own sanity as my love for this character grew and grew. The vivid and ravaged thoughts that raced through my head where accompanied with a gut wrenching and ravenous understanding of Howard. I found myself justifying him trough the eyes of Betty.

My motivation for writing this story was fueled by my fascination of serial killers. To make the journey first hand into the life of one. To see not only what makes them tick, but to find out what they think of themselves and what drives them. My research could only take me so far. I knew the only way to get into it like I needed to be was to lose myself into the mind of one. Imagining every little detail. Saturated in the lust for the kill. Becoming lost and demented and covered in blood. This story is very clever, it has many underlying tones that tie it all together, delivered along with a revelation of a twist that will leave the audience in complete shock.

Together with my amazing co-producers, and exceptional cast and crew, I feel the story has been given the truth it deserves. Pre- production was allot of work and it the end it really paid off. I am very proud of our cast. We worked very hard to make sure we found the right people for this film, and we did. We scouted and found many choice locations that really gave us allot of production value characterizing the settings in this story. The crew was absolutely fantastic, professional, and eager to be a part of this wonderful experience.

I feel that with Howard & Betty it was a matter of all the right people coming together at the right time, working together passionately on a project they really believed in. I truly believe our hard work and dedication to this film will deliver us great success. I’ve realized that it’s not the chances we take, but the choices we make that determine what we get in this life.
